Garlic Hummus Recipe

This is a simple hummus recipe that contains fresh garlic as well as other ingredients to cut the garlic to create a smooth flavorful hummus. You may want to add more or less garlic to this hummus recipe depending on how strong you like it.  Here is the list of ingredients to get you started.
Garlic Hummus Recipe
  • 1 – 16 ounce can of garbanzo beans
  • 4 to 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons water (you can also use the juice you have from draining the garbanzo beans)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Put all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend it.  Blend the hummus recipe more or less depending on how you like the consistency of your hummus.  Add in more of the water or bean juice if it looks too thick.

Pour the finished hummus recipe mixture into a bowl.  You can serve it immediately or cover it with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge.  Storing it overnight really helps the flavors in the hummus recipe to meld overnight.

Fell free to make a small indentation in the hummus recipe mixture and add some garlic flavored olive oil when serving.
